Inertia Reel was Steve's first band and was a 3-piece along with James Edenborough (drums) and Dave Eccles (guitar/bass). Formed in 1998 when James and Steve were aged 15 and at school together, Inertia Reel released 2 full-length albums and 2 EPs, and they played a number of shows around the Brighton area, up until their hiatus in 2008. This album is a compilation of Inertia Reel's best songs, some of which Steve still plays now in his solo shows. Their sound was an energetic mix of rock, punk and prog, influenced by Muse, Green Day, Pink Floyd and Feeder.
